Katherine Baker
Ph.D. Graduate
Katherine Baker (she/her/they/them) was the first PhD candidate to earn her degree while working in the FIG lab. After earning her B.A. in psychology from New York University, she obtained an M.S. in Human Nutrition and an M.P.H. in Environmental Health Science with a certificate in Climate & Health from Columbia University. Her primary interest lies at the intersection of environmental health and climate change, nutrition, and public health, and is passionate to contribute to the creation of sustainable food systems. Katherine was a graduate affiliate with the Cornell Center for the Study of Inequity and is committed to eliminating health disparities. For her dissertation work, Katherine used mixed-methods to understand and inform development of assessment tools to measure nutrient-dense food availability and food sustainability practices in New York City.
